Hi there! My name is Adrienne.
I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I received my BA in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies, completing a senior thesis with Dr. Kristen Lindquist and (then grad student) Dr. Jenn MacCormack. After college, I spent two years as a project coordinator for Dr. Adam Bryant Miller and Dr. Margaret Sheridan in the Child Imaging Research on Cognition and Life Experiences Lab at UNC. Currently, I work with Dr. Kristen Lindquist in the Carolina Affective Science Lab and Dr. Keely Muscatell in the Social Neuroscience and Health Lab. My graduate work is supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and Royster Society Fellowship from the Graduate School at UNC Chapel Hill.

Historical, systemic, and interpersonal stressors leave a lasting impact on the brain and body. I am interested in the neurobiological mechanisms through which social stress is linked to adverse mental and physical health outcomes.
