Hi there! My name is Adrienne.
I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I received my BA in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies, completing a senior thesis with Dr. Kristen Lindquist and (then grad student) Dr. Jenn MacCormack. After college, I spent two years as a project coordinator for Dr. Adam Bryant Miller and Dr. Margaret Sheridan in the Child Imaging Research on Cognition and Life Experiences Lab at UNC. Currently, I work with Dr. Kristen Lindquist in the Carolina Affective Science Lab. I am a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a UNC Royster Society Fellow.

Social Stress and Health
Historical, systemic, and interpersonal stressors leave a lasting impact on the brain and body. I am interested in the neurobiological mechanisms through which social stress is linked to adverse mental and physical health outcomes.
